I think the easiest way to do this would be to use the switch to change which device has power, but I would like to know for sure. This allows me to use boot from virtual disks on computers that allow USB floppy drives. As you can see my solution makes a larger footprint than yours but my TRS M1 and System 80 have no USB port, so a self-contained 5 volt supply was necessary. So i can boot from the emulator and buslin, drive A. The emulator is for my Model 1 and System 80, not my Model 4. I replaced the drive with the floppy emulator. Even though your enclosure is a little larger than necessary, it looks like it works well for your purposes.

Busoink the emulator up to the 5V power supply and issue sorted!

I think mine used to house a SCSI tape drive too. I have an enclosure that is nearly identical to that!

The screw holes in the bottom of the emulator lined up with those on the bottom of the case so I could secure it in there well. I’ll let folks know how it turned out with a blog post.
